He divides his time as a veterinarian between small animal surgeries, with a focus in orthopedics and ACL repair, Equine reproduction and lameness, and preventative medicine. Professionally, he is a member of the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Association of Equine Practitioners.
Dr. Zimmerman grew up in Lindsey, Ohio and now resides in Fremont with his wife Sarah, their kids, Lauren, Faith, and Aidan, and their two dogs Deacon and Landry. In his spare time, he enjoys woodworking, cooking, skiing, and many other outdoor activities. He also enjoys doing Crossfit and is an L1 coach in Fremont.

Trinity joined the team in 2021, helping throughout the year and on school breaks. In her free time, she enjoys hobbies like painting and photography as well as spending time with her pittie, Shelby, and cats, Wicket, Lucifer, and Crowley.

Jil has been our receptionist at Lakeshore since 2006. She has her Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education and has extensive experience in customer service. In her spare time Jil enjoys traveling, reading and crafting. Jil lives in Sandusky with her husband, Bruce and has a love of retired racing greyhounds.
